Move over Nina...

Nixon truly believes he's small enough to be a lap dog. I've heard this to be true with Boxers -- they have a skewed sense of their actual size -- but this is ridiculous! He actually pushes Nina off my lap and the look on her face is so funny. I wish she could talk to me just so I could hear what kind of thoughts she's having about Nixon right now :) And to think, he's only growing bigger and bigger...

While the Cristman crew were busy building the deck, Nixon found a nice spot to rest...in a flower pot! He's grown so much -- next time he tries this stunt I bet he'll break the pot!

New Deck

Adam, Clyde (Adam's Dad), and Brian have worked tirelessly to build a new deck. Adam really wanted to build a nice deck since the first day we moved in and I think it looks so so great. I'm so proud of them. Here's a few pics from before, during, and after.

Highrise Reunion

The first weekend in June, six of my amazing college housemates and I went to Melissa Coleman's house in Harrisonburg for a reunion. We were truly missing Melissa Vickers (who now lives in Colombia with her fiance, soon to be husband, Juan) but we had a blast just relaxing and catching up. We spent almost all of Saturday on the quad and ate out that night at one of our fav restaurants, Dave's Taverna. We retired to Melissa's porch catching up for hours and hours. It was such a great time -- much needed for me to get away with my girls. I miss them so much but am thankful that we can all get together on random weekends such as this! (Also found out that Melissa is pregnant with the first Highrise baby! We could not be more excited!)
